Dr. Terri Howard, BCBA

Terri is the founder and Director of Southlake Autism and Behavior Services. She is a Board

Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her doctoral studies focused on assent-based medical care with an emphasis on systematic desensitization of medical procedures. She holds a master's degree in special education with a specialization in Autism and a degree in research psychology. Her interest in medicine, psychology, behavior analysis and education inspired her to open a practice where she and her team can combine expertise from multiple disciplines to offer a comprehensive treatment approach to serving individuals of varying needs.


Terri has a unique set of skills that allows her to co-treat with mental health providers as well as physicians to provide the best outcomes possible for her clients. She is experienced in treating Autism, Down Syndrome, aggressive behavior disorders, learning disorders, PTSD, phobias, desensitization to medical procedures and perioperative care as well as treating inappropriate sexual behaviors. Terri has presented educational seminars to schools, parent groups, and special interest organizations on behavior-analytic topics, as well as special-topic webinars on parenting and Autism-related topics for funding sources.
